Polymer Eco-Filler Composite Materials
Polymer Eco-Filler Composite Materials
Development of Carbon-Negative Polymers
As a response to climate change, Yazaki’s social responsibility, and stricter regulations demanding a circular economy and lower green-house emissions, we are developing carbon negative, recyclable polymers with the goal to displace carbon-positive commodity polymers from fossil fuel which are currently prevalent in the automotive industry.
Highlights
- Use of raw materials from biomass
- Scalable process
- Material properties competitive with or exceeding those of commodity polymers
- Fully recyclable
- Carbon-negative material
- Certification by LCA
- Carbon-negative products
- Access to markets with restrictive regulations
- Licensing of formulations
- Social responsibility
2030 EU Sustainable Development Goals
- Circular Economy (100% Recycling)
- Carbon-Negativity (Use of Renewable Energy and Resources)
- Traceability of Parts (Zero Waste)
