Mr. Douglas Meyers
Associate Director
Doug joined YTCA in 1993 and has served in a variety of roles within the company over the years. Initially working as a research staff member on projects related to sol-gel chemistry and polymer composites, Doug transitioned into R&D management, overseeing projects on ecology friendly composite materials, and currently, aluminum-based metal matrix composites. Doug also served as manager of Analytical Services for a number of years, and as the lead Safety Officer of the company. He also currently manages YTCA’s Intellectual Property-related activities, while assisting Stefan in directing of all R&D projects.
Prior to joining YTCA, Doug worked for several years as a materials engineer in the aerospace industry at Curtiss Wright Corporation. He received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science in the same discipline from University of California, Los Angeles.
